Remember your first puppy love experience? It was fun, exhilarating and a bit scary at the same time. All we knew was we loved this person hard and with every being of our bodies – Right? Looking back, we didn’t know what true love really was! But with God we should go back to those feelings and love him hard with all our being. Amen
February is the month that we celebrate our love for one another on Valentines Day and as a Black people. We love and honor each other in the hopes that we receive love back. This world is in need of love like never before.
We are to use Jesus’ example by showing his ultimate love for us on the cross. Jesus says in Romans 12:10, “Love each other like the members of your family. Be the best at showing honor to each other.” (CEB)
It’s my prayer that these snippets of love will give you hope that God lives and loves you beyond belief!
In our past months, we’ve read and journaled God’s word on a daily basis using a topical theme. In honor of our love month, I’ve decided to do something a bit different.
Starting Mon, Feb 5th
We will honor our love, Mon-Fri, for the next 15+ days on notecards to honor our God. We will read, write and meditate on Gods love in his word!
“FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONE AND ONLY SON, THAT WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM SHALL NOT PERISH BUT HAVE ETERNAL LIFE.” ~JOHN 3:16
Feel free to print and write the scripture of the day or a personal note to God that reflects on what the word means to you….
Share and invite family, friends, co-workers, study groups or whoever you believe would benefit from this Mon through Fri for the next 3 weeks! You can even “pay them forward” to introduce or remind them of Gods love 🙂
I’ve put together and provided an easy and simple note card set that takes just 5-10 mins a day (or as long as you like). You can even use the back of the cards to SOAP through his word!
I’ve also added a daily note card to continue writing notes to God for as long as you like. Doodle, draw, color and have fun… They are awesome keepsakes to reflect on when you need a simple reminder that Gods love never fails!
