Praise God that we finished Week 1 of Thanking God For People Bible Study & Journal!
Thanking God For You – His People…
When I decided to praise God for his people this month, I wanted to reflect on the goodness that people truly have in their hearts through tragic times. As soon as this study began, the death of 25 people plus an unborn child was gunned down in another church killing in Sutherland Springs, Texas.
And again, we see how this small town in Texas and people all across the world stood together, held hands and prayed to God through it all. We may never understand the senseless violent crimes and loss of life in this world, but God knows and is still there through it all.
I pray for God’s people, and those who don’t know God, to come to know him before they leave this world. We never know when God will call us home. Our job is to make sure that when he does, he can say, “Well done, Good and Faithful Servant!”
Let’s continue praying for this world and recap what we’ve read and journaled from our 1st week…
(Mon) 1 Timothy 2:1 – SOAP 1 Timothy 2:1
As you may know, prayer is the only way to talk one-on-one with God. When Jesus Christ came, died and arose for our sins, the veil was broken forever and we were allowed to come boldly to the throne of God. God also allows us to pray and intercede for others! I thank God that I’ve had friends, family and maybe even strangers praying on my behalf. I don’t know about you, but it’s comforting to know that our God hears and answers prayers of the righteous…. #thankingGodforpeople
(Tues) Romans 1:8 – SOAP Acts Romans 1:8
God knows what we, as a people, have gone through this year and years past. But through it all our faith has brought us through. Thank you Lord that you’ve given us the gift of faith! When there was no one else to soothe our fears, doubts, trials and grief – Faith in Jesus Christ who CAN is always there 🙂 #thankingGodforpeople
(Wed) 1 Corinthians 1:4 – SOAP 1 Corinthians 1:4
What would we do if we didn’t have each other in this world? I don’t believe that God would have us be alone. That’s why he gave Adam, Eve as a help mate. We are all here as help mates to one another. God’s grace has allowed us this privilege and we should always thank him for the people he puts in our lives. #thankingGodforpeople
(Thurs) 1 Thessalonians 3:9 – SOAP 1 Thessalonians 3:9
Has anyone ever done something nice for you for no apparent reason? Flowers, candy, lunch, coffee or even a kind word? Yes, those people do exist. Maybe you’re even one of them! God places kindness towards others in our heart. It causes joy when we pay it forward by helping those in need. Ever have that feeling? It’s pretty awesome. #thankingGodforpeople
(Fri) Ephesians 1:16 – SOAP Ephesians 1:16
Let’s never forget to pray for each other and our world! God says to pray without ceasing, giving him thanks for everything and everyone he places in our lives! We should always uplift our brothers and sisters through prayer and allow God to do the rest! #thankingGodforpeople
